Les objectifs

The international PCCP master's degree is part of the LIGHT Gradual Research School. The program aims to integrate Master students in academic and industrial fields belonging to various aspects of fundamental physical chemistry: study of matter and its transformations, analysis and control of physical and chemical processes, applications in environmental sensors and detection systems, nanotechnologies, photonics and organic electronics, modelling of physical and chemical processes from molecular to macroscopic scale. All courses are taught in English.

The PCCP Master's program is unique in that it places great emphasis on immersive research-based learning and laboratory projects, and provides great opportunities for students who wish to specialize in the field of fundamental physical chemistry and photonics.

In particular, the program offers:

A granted research internship during the second semester: As part of the research-immersive program, the Master degree includes an internship in a research laboratory during the full second semester. The internship is full-time during the January-February period, and part-time from March to June. An internship scholarship is automatically awarded to all students in the program.

An international mobility during the last semester: Although not compulsory, international mobility is strongly encouraged during the final semester of the Master's thesis, reinforcing the international dimension of the degree.

A participation to the international PCCP workshop: Every year, the PCCP International Workshop is organized by and for the PCCP students, as part of the Light Graduate Research School. This 2-day conference provides a unique information and communication platform that covers a wide range of subjects related to the various fields of physical chemistry. This event, which marks the ending of the academic year, is a great opportunity for PCCP students to exchange with worldwide researchers in a convivial framework.

The possibility of earning a dual Master degree with the Colorado School of Mines: The Colorado School of Mines and the University of Bordeaux have signed an ambitious project for a double master's program. The selected students spend the full second year in Colorado. The laureates receive a Master's degree from both institutions.

Possible scolarships based on excellence academic criteria: Incoming scholarships may be awarded to the top 20% of applicants based on academic criteria.
